Simplicity, shapes and colour. Let’s wear fun shapes in bright colours!

This is a limited-edition maekake apron created in collaboration with Sydney-based artist Micke Lindebergh, who is known for his use of vivid colors and curvy shapes. The design is silk-screen printed on 100% thick cotton fabric woven using 100-year old shuttle looms made by Toyota.

Limited edition of 100 pieces only, there will be no reprints.

Materials: 100% Cotton
Dimensions: Apron – 67 cm x 47 cm (including fringe) / Belt – 260cm (suitable for waist sizes up to 95cm)

Instructions for Care:
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not wash in warm water.
  • Wash separately from whites as the dye may transfer onto other fabrics. May shrink slightly after wash due to the nature of the fabric.

About the Artist

Micke Lindebergh (Sweden/Australia)
Micke's confident hand and unapologetic choice of chromatically lush materials, such as Posca pens, bright acrylics and riso inks, reward his audience with a visually delightful series of hand-generated arrangements. His playful compositions make use of balance, colour & contrast to showcase his masterful embrace of the primary palette. The bright and snappy works on exhibit recall his most prominent influences - Japanese comics, Scandinavian design and the balmy Sydney summertime.

Originally from Sweden, Micke moved from Stockholm to London to study illustration at The Camberwell College of Art. After which, he spent some years living in London & around Europe, before finally landing in Sydney. Over the course of his travels his work has changed from illustrations of monsters and animals to the more abstract and playful shapes and flowers he is now known for.
